Description
Poinsettias make a beautiful floral centrepiece for a Christmas table.
A cut poinsettia in a homemade apple flower holder makes a distinctive addition to a festive table. This DIY idea is quick to make. Simply core a hole in a crisp red apple, insert a test tube and decorate the apple with golden glitter. Then fill the test tube with water, place a cut poinsettia inside and arrange the finished decoration, together with gilded dried florals, on a plate. Done!
Tip: Immediately after cutting, dip poinsettia stems in hot water (approx.60°C) for a few seconds and then in cold water. In clean water, they will stay fresh for up to two weeks.
