The disused tin mine at Wheal Coates is a reminder of our industrial heritage. Similar buildings and their surrounding, often scarred, landscapes are found all over the county and represent a history that took the amazing skills of Cornish miners to places across the seas, changing the world.
This tile has been hand painted in traditional Delft Blue by an artist in Decorum Studio for you to create your own unique Cornish design.
Also available without corner detailing. Please contact the studio.
(Design shown on English White base)
Tell us your Delft story and we can design a selection of personal Delft tiles for your home or business, depicting Delft style images of your family, home, pets or garden which would be a truly unique finish to your home or business project.
The paint used in the designs is of a gloss finish, however, on the matt Chalk White base tile, the paint may appear more matt. Please order a sample for your inspection.
The colour and finish on screen may differ slightly to the actual product. We always recommend ordering a sample for a true likeness, especially if colour/style matching is important to your project. Variations in each tile, the painting by individual artists and the effect of firing will result in slight differences. This uniqueness adds to their charm!
Our selection of base tiles are made in the EU to our special recipe and then decorated and fired here in Cornwall, UK.
