Material
Steel offers the lowest price tag compared to other materials, but it also offers the most diversity in terms of colour and style. Steel is a highly durable material which is important as towel rails are going to be the victims of some knocks and bangs over time and you want them to withstand that.

Style
The Round tube style is slightly more modern option than Flat or Elliptical style tubes, with smooth seamless 22mm thick tubes. The powder painting gives the metal a perfectly even finish. It’s easy to maintain and clean and delivers a good level of heat distribution. With these you get 1 row of protruding round tubes, making these perfect for drying and warming those large fluffy bath towels.

Heat Source
This dual fuel towel radiator works both as part of your central heating and independently using electricity. This enables you to keep your bathroom warm over the winter by relying just on the central heating system while also being able to use the electric element to dry your towels during the warmer summer months while the rest of your heating is turned off.

Accessories
This towel rail is provided with everything required to hang the rail on the wall - brackets & masonry fixings, chrome bleed valve and blanking plug, as well as all the accessories needed for the dual fuel functionality - electric element, 2 x t-pieces, a pair of angled manual valves. The t-piece acts as an extension which allows you to insert the electric element into the towel rail as well as attach the valves. The use of 2nd t-piece provided is optional, for those who want to create symmetry with the valves on both sides of the rail. The element can be installed on either the left or right hand side of the towel rail - whichever is better for your set up.

The Element
The Talus digital element gives you flexibility and control over your heating system. The thermostatic heating system allows the radiator temperature range to be selected from 45-65°C, in 5°C increments. The LED lights indicate the temperature setting, for at-a-glance checking.

Operation:
Standby Mode - When the element is power connected, it will default to standby mode. This will be indicated by a blue light on the power button.

Heating Mode - Press the Power button to enter heating mode, a red light will appear on the button. Then use the T button to select the temperature, the lights at the top will indicate the chosen temperature. 1st light = 45°C, 2nd light = 50°C, 3rd light = 55°C etc.

Boost/Program Mode - There are 3 boost setting available:

Boost 2hr - shown by a red light on the clock button. The element is turned on for a 2 hour period and the temperature is automatically controlled as to not exceed 65°C. After the 2 hour period the element will return to standby.
B1 Program - shown by a blue light on the clock button. The element enters Boost 2hr (above). After the 2 hour period the element will return to standby for 22 hours. This schedule then repeats.
B2 Program - shown by a red light on the clock button. The element enters Boost 2hr (above). After the 2 hour period the element will return to standby for 10 hours, then Boost 2hr is activated again, followed by 10hrs in standby. This schedule then repeats.
Error Mode - if the liquid temperature drops below -10°C or above 85°C then the element will enter error mode, this is shown by slow flashing red lights. If this happens, please switch off the power source and contact and electrician.

Frost Protection - If the liquid drops below 7°C the element will turn on and begin to heat

Full Installation Instructions and User Guide will be provided with the element.

*The electric heating element supplied with this dual fuel towel rail must be installed by a registered competent electrician. Any faults developed due to incorrect installation will not be covered under the product warranty. The suggested fuse size is calculated based on a 230V supply and whilst 230V is the nominal voltage given to homes in the UK, the actual voltage supply can vary. The registered competent electrician carrying out the installation will determine the appropriate size of fuse to use for the installation.
