Description
Our hand painted ‘Kashvi’ Masala Dabba Spice Tin forms part of the Pretty Tiffin ‘Zenana ‘ range, inspired by the concubines and female royalty of ancient India that lived in the famous Jaipur (Amer) Fort in Rajasthan. The traditional patterns seen throughout this range are inspired by the intricate artwork evident in the heritage buildings of the region.
The ‘Kashvi’ design features a traditional floral garland set against a royal blue background.
A ‘masala dabba’ is a must for the spice alchemist and makes a special gift for a passionate home chef. Traditionally used in India to store and organise spices before and during cooking. No South Asian kitchen is without one- often handed down generation to generation, they evoke memories of family recipes and are a practical (not to mention beautiful!) spice storage solution for those everyday spices. With its secure ‘biscuit tin’ style lid it makes the perfect curry lover gift.
This beautiful tin is hand painted in the city of Jaipur ‘The Pink City’ so named for the pink hue of many of its buildings.
Each spice tin is individually hand painted and contains 7 individual steel pots and a serving spoon.
Equally useful as storage for jewellery, sewing kit, buttons, for serving dips, sweets or nuts…
