Description
Tables like our black lacquer ladies cabinet were made popular during the Qing dynasty, similar style consoles with drawers and doors were normally used in a lady's sleeping quarters as a dressing table, and hence were known as 'ladies' cabinets'. There is plenty of storage space provided by the central doors and the drawers at either side, while the top is set with a rattan panel to provide a hard wearing surface. Typical oriental features include the narrow legs ending in classic Chinese 'horse hoof' feet, along with the circular door hardware and brass handles. Use one as an unusual console table with storage space or as a dressing table in a bedroom - great combined with one of our Square Stools, which will slide underneath when not in use.
