Description
Living Room decor with YUPIK hand-tufted dyed wool rug and Fitzroy velvet sofa. SEQUOIA centre table, MECCA side table, CYRUS table light and NAICCA suspension light.
FITZROY Sofa is inspired in Mount Fitz Roy, a mountain in Patagonia, whose name is a tribute to Robert FitzRoy, the captain of the ship that transported Charles Darwin in his travel around the world. This curved sofa, with its back inspired in the outstanding mountain shape, is fully upholstered in cotton velvet and the base is in matte casted brass. FITZROY Sofa will add an organic element to any living room set.
The Yupik are a group of indigenous people in Alaska. Traditionally, the families spent spring and summertime at fishing camps and then joined with others at village sites for the winter. The travel to search for food and the resistance to cold weather of this people are represented on the YUPIK hand-tufted dyed wool rug, like the routes that they have taken for all these years
