Furnishing a new home should be a joyful and stress-free experience. However, our founder Will Plowden became aware that it’s often anything but. Watching his sister struggling to decorate her first flat, Will realised that planning and furnishing a new home is a complicated and often dispiriting experience. He saw her worrying about product dimensions, wrestling with colour schemes, struggling to identify her own personal style. And he came to the conclusion that there must be a better way. That’s how the concept of The Roost came about. A platform offering the complete home shopping experience, taking away the uncertainty and difficulties, and adding a big boost of joy into the mix. The idea for The Roost was hatched…

Amy has been making bespoke customised rugs for nearly 20 years. Inspired by every day shapes and patterns she has grown her collection into a wide and varied array of designs, together with wonderful collaborations with like-minded creatives such as Rapture & Wright and Willow Crossley.

Since the beginning Amy's main ethos has always been to produce beautiful handmade rugs that are as accessible as possible to as many people as possible. However, knowing that the bespoke route can be quite daunting and expensive, last year Amy launched ’Shop Amy’. This off-the-peg, immediately available, selection of Amy’s designs as flatweaves can be delivered straight away so you can get a unique hand woven rug, but without the bespoke price tag or long lead time.
