About the author and illustrator:
Tony Kirkham is the Head of Arboretum, Gardens and Horticulture Services in the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew, London. He was awarded an MBE in the Queen's New Year’s Honours List 2020 and has authored six books including, most recently, Remarkable Trees.
Ryuto Miyake is an illustrator and graphic designer based in Tokyo, with a particular interest in the natural world.
