Description
These unusual, rectangular wooden bowls are from the eastern part of Tibet, near the border with Qingha province. The are made from willow wood, roughly hollowed out to form these large containers. Originally they were used for kneeding dough, and each one shows the age and patina associated with years of use. Today they make wonderful, large fruit bowls or centrepiece to a dining table.
