New name on the interiors landscape; Atkin and Thyme launches this week

Stunning range of handpicked, handcrafted and exclusive furniture and accessories unveiled

New furniture and home accessories brand Atkin and Thyme launches this week. The 120-piece strong collection features an eclectic mix of both classic and contemporary pieces which will suit modern and traditional interiors. Made in limited, low volume batches and handcrafted by skilled artisans, each piece is exclusive to the collection.

A shared love for travel sparked founders Nick and Victoria Atkin’s inspiration for the range and design styles from across the globe are evident throughout. India is a key influencer; many of the designs are based on pieces the couple have seen during trips to the country and reclaimed materials from India such as teak, mango wood and steel, feature in many of the designs.

Only the finest quality materials have been used to craft the furniture, lighting, mirrors and home accessories in the collection. Sumptuous velvet and linen, opulent marble and mother of pearl and stainless steel, concrete and glass all feature, as well as reclaimed exotic woods including mango wood and teak. Across each category the styles vary from contemporary to classic, rustic to retro, so there will be a fit for interiors of any style within Atkin and Thyme's eclectic range.

Stand out pieces include the Pimlico Armchair in Velvet (£395). Clad in sumptuous jewel-toned medieval blue cotton velvet, the chair features elegant buttoning and distinguished turned legs for a luxurious and exclusive feel. The chair's elegant outline simultaneously suits both modern and contemporary interiors.

The Cuboid Bone Inlay Console Table (£595) has a monochrome, dog tooth effect inlay and a striking resulting three-dimensional look. Just like the retro-inspired, five-drawer Milligan Desk (£379) which is hand-crafted from mango wood and the concrete-moulded Barcelona Dining Table (£498), this will make an arresting addition to any room.

Lighting, mirrors, rugs and cushions are also available in the range's signature 'contemporary yet classic' aesthetic. Scandinavian-inspired pendant lighting and industrial cage lights feature, as well as over and standard-sized table lamps. The luxurious rugs are all crafted from responsibly-sourced all-natural materials such as wool, cotton and silk and the cushion collection features a variety of on-trend and eye-catching prints. Each mirror will make a stunning and original focal point and the white metal-plated I Spy White Metal Mirror (£239), which is split into four different sections in a design recalling a window pane, is sophisticated and elegant, yet wholly unique.

The launch taps into multiple burgeoning interiors trends. Each piece is handmade by skilled artisans; responding to the demand for pieces with provenance, made using traditional methods and the reclaimed materials used ties into the interest in 'upcycling'. The collection's eclectic mix of styles means it will appeal not only to those with a clear preference for either classic or contemporary, but also links into the growing trend to mix traditional elegance with contemporary design. As each item has been specially selected, the range also responds to the growing demand for originality and exclusivity.

The original and high-quality materials used and the variety of styles available, coupled with competitive prices, means Atkin and Thyme looks set to appeal to design-savvy consumers whatever their style. Victoria Atkin commented; 'The Atkin and Thyme collection has been designed to appeal to anyone with a love for distinctive and original high-quality design and we hope our customers enjoy exploring the collection as much as we enjoyed sourcing and designing the pieces.'
