Luxurious hand-made glass razor

In between two layers of glass, a bold black one and a shiny transparent one, a sheet of gold leaf has been melted in creating it's own pattern.

Crafted by artisan Theophile Caille in his workshop in Nantes, France, each piece is handmade and therefore designs may vary. Theo uses the torch flame with sticks of glass to make his pieces and then uses different techniques to finish and embelish them.

These vibrant green enamelled glasses were hand blown into a mould and then hand painted and enamelled. Coat of arms at the front, florettes and raised beading. The helmet and the hawk claw with a ball are part of the coat of arms design with either stag, snake or wolf motif.

Glass makes in Germany and Austrian factories during the 2nd half of the 19th century took historical techniques, shapes and styles to create glass with motifs taken from nature mixed with symbolism - a style of glass named "Historismus".

Graphite pencils

Amazing sculptural writing implements made from graphite and designed by Agelio Batle and his studio in San Francisco Each piece is cast using carbonaceous graphite and can be used in its entirety as a pencil. It is treated with a polymer that helps prevent the graphite from rubbing into one’s hands. All of Studio Batle’s “Graphite Objects” wear very slowly and will last an average of 7 to 9 years with everyday use.
