May 2018 – Celebrating all things bright and beautiful, British homewares designer Sophie Allport has released an exclusive mug to mark Chelsea Flower Show 2018.
The annual event, hosted in the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea, is the world’s most prestigious flower show and inspires over 150,000 visitors across five days.
Sophie’s fine bone china mug is hand decorated and fired in Stoke on Trent and features an idyllic scene at this world-renowned event. Butterflies, dragonflies and bumble bees dance across the sky above a dynamic garden packed with vibrant alliums and foxgloves. Bullfinches and Parakeets perch on the greenery and wheelbarrows, watching over doting Hedgehogs. Dressed in iconic scarlets, two cheerful Chelsea Pensioners enjoy the relaxed ambience of the tranquil grounds.
Sophie is an avid gardener herself and always loves Chelsea Flower Show. “It’s definitely my favourite show of the year;” she explains. “We’re hoping our mug will make a lovely souvenir for visitors and remind them of their special day.”
