Recently, Australian Woodwork became the sole owners and distributors of Australian Ancient Redgum giftware which has allowed them to substantially reduce the prices all round on this range. This collection is not only unique, it’s also authentic. The Ancient Redgum story dates back thousands of years, to a time when the Egyptians were building the pyramids. At this point, the River Murray in Australia altered its course, undermining the Redgums that were growing along the banks.

The trees fell into the stream where they were buried. Here, they lay for centuries, absorbing the earth’s minerals and metamorphosing into a dense, ebony black timber. Recently discovered in rural Victoria, it’s this fossilised timber that Australian Woodwork prides itself on – creating some of the most inspiring pieces of woodwork in the country.
