Lara has always had a strong interest in art and loves anything involving creativity. Having studied Graphic Design/Illustration at Camberwell College of Art, Lara began her career in designing record sleeves that appeared on the shelves in HMV and Virgin Megastores. Speaking to Lara, she says:
 
“A lot of my work is rooted in the natural world and a country walk can be as inspiring as wandering around a gallery or seeing a new exciting art exhibition. Having recently relocated to Devon, a daily walk on the beach is a must in any weather. The rock formations, geodes and strata are beautiful colour chameleons as the seasons change, with direct sunlight they actually sparkle.
 
I love jewel tones and mixing these into marble/agate designs with lots of gold, it creates a luxury layered story. Geode/marble/agate patterns emerged in the design world a while ago, adorning fashion, homeware, soft furnishings etc and they don’t look like disappearing any time soon!”
