Wood, the ethical and beautiful choice. The home’s guiding principle, oriented toward well-being and sustainability. It is precisely this natural and resilient raw material, and all the design versatility it affords, which lies at the centre of the new interior solutions proposed by L’Ottocento for the kitchen and living areas.
Forever the leading material of L’Ottocento artisan production, wood is rediscovered in its aesthetic dimension, capable of enhancing the sophisticated partnership between classic and contemporary, breaking free of traditional stereotypes, innovating in terms of both style and technology. Strong forms and original pairings, always inspired by a natural look, reinvent the personality of wood, highlighting its timeless appeal. A creative concept that can be adapted to all areas of the home in line with a recurring theme featuring highly expressive textures, creating a warm and welcoming feel.
These are the principles inspiring the new range of furniture created by L’Ottocento in collaboration with makethatstudio: the elegant Atlante panelling system in piantagione walnut featuring pocket and pull-out doors, is a genuine equipped storage element, developed at full height, offering a scenic finish to the entire space dedicated to the kitchen, but also the living area. It is counterpoised by the striking Archetipo island with its quintessential forms and cylindrical base units, finished with the original wooden pattern designed by Ettore Sottsass for Alpi and complete with the revolutionary top in Lapitec. The island extends to become a snack bench, paired with the new Archetipo stools upholstered in Rubelli fabric. In a logic of compositional continuity, the panelling system is extended to the living area, including the room doors, enveloping the space dedicated to relax with closed and open compartments according to need. A custom design that can be continued in other areas of the home, maintaining the same style and textural insinuations.
Wood is the new black: this is how to best summarise the new expressiveness of wood, with all its contemporary and glamorous inflections.
