Nykke Jones Interiors, in collaboration with MY Furniture and Willmark Homes, has been named as a finalist for the prestigious Society of British Interior Design (SBID) International Design Awards 2020, in the Show Flats & Developments Category.
 
Nykke Jones designed the interior of Willmark Homes Baxter Green showhouse, in Nottinghamshire, based on the huge collection of furniture pieces offered by MY Furniture.

A far cry from the universal neutral grey often seen in today’s show homes, Nykke introduced plenty of colour and drama to the Baxter Green showhouse, ensuring the style and substance of the furniture pieces flowed from room to room. Using a colour palette of black, teal and gold with highlights of burnt orange, and even hot pink, the result is a warm, glamorous interior without a hint of pretention.

 
Just some of the thoughtfully chosen pieces on display from MY Furniture include Alveare Tub Chairs in Brass and Teal (inspired by highly collectable American mid-century furnishings); a unique, hexagon-shape, solid marble and brass Kronos Dining Table; a stunning orange velvet Selini Three Seat Sofa in Pumpkin and the distinctive walnut-veneered Ravello Sideboard (inspired by mid-century Italian design).
 
The Baxter Green showhouse stands alongside an exceptional calibre of finalist show homes and developments, located in such areas as Chelsea, Beijing and Fifth Avenue, New York.
 
The SBID Awards finalists for 2020 were shortlisted by a technical panel and revered international jury, consisting of top tier industry professionals and visionary leaders who understand what goes into producing outstanding design. To complete the final stage of the judging process, the public are now invited to vote for their favourite projects.
