When you’re looking to buy a new dining table, size is important.

La Residence Interiors has just launched two new tables, which are smaller versions of its huge extending banqueting-sized Brunswick and popular refectory-style Montague.

“The original large tables were incredibly popular, but our customers kept asking if we could make them in smaller sizes,” explained co-founder Sarah Cook.

“After all, not everyone needs to entertain so many guests or has the space for a larger table. So make them, we did!”

The smaller sized weathered oak Brunswick is a real gem: at its teensiest (100cm diameter), it takes up very little space and seats 4 people. It has two easy-to-glide-in leaves which extend it to seat 8 very comfortably.

It opens out into a beautiful (and practical) oval shape and has La Residence Interiors’ distinctive wire-brushed finish, which enhances the natural wood grain. The elegant hand-turned legs are also an eye-catching feature.

The smaller Montague is just as solid and dependable as the original but is 60cm shorter and 10cm narrower. Influenced by classic 17th century Monastery design, the table is again handcrafted from weathered oak, with a wirebrushed finish to make the grain appear more pronounced. There are four solid baluster shaped hand-turned legs, which are also finished in weathered oak, and add to the individuality and beauty of this piece of furniture.

Both tables are statement pieces that are built to last and be enjoyed for years to come.
