Not only is Laura Ashley Lighting and Mirrors releasing their new SS22 collection which will be available from May, but they also have some gorgeous designs as part of their new AW Collection which will be available from February, including these stunning bathroom additions.

We also asked Mary Buchanan, Creative Director of Laura Ashley Lighting and Mirrors how to style and pick the perfect bathroom light. 

"The first thing to consider is the positioning of your lights as any new electrics will need to be installed safely by a qualified electrician. Lighting should be thought about early in the process of your bathroom revamp before any plastering or painting. Consider the zones in your bathroom. E.g. do you want a light over or on each side of a vanity mirror or a light central to your shower? Combining decorative pieces with functional recess spots can easily provide you with a flexible decorative solution to make your bathroom into an interior designer look space.

 Think about the style of your bathroom pieces and finish this off with lighting to suit, be it ‘Hotel Glamour’ or ‘Industrial Chic’. Create ambience for a relaxing bath using wall lights or floor level spots inset in walls to light your way for indulgent style!" Mary advises, she adds: "Statement wall lights can be used to add personality and reflect your unique individuality– but watch out for finishes on metal that may rust with the humid conditions in a bathroom. Good metal-plated options are best and sealed units are safer, along with glass in patterned textures or opt for white frosted finishes to hide any unsightly bulbs for an amazing result".
