Specially created by Victoria Eggs to celebrate 70 years since HRH Queen Elizabeth the Second’s coronation.
Transporting us back to 1952, when thousands of people gathered to watch a young Princess Elizabeth take the throne, Victoria has taken inspiration from the magnificent dress the Queen wore for her latest collection.
The dress, which was designed by British fashion designer Norman Hartnell, featured embroidered flowers from countries within the Commonwealth including the Tudor rose (England), thistle (Scotland), leek (Wales), shamrock (Ireland), wattle (Australia), maple leaf (Canada), fern (New Zealand), protea (South Africa), lotus flowers (India and Ceylon) and wheat, cotton, and jute (Pakistan).
Victoria has faithfully hand drawn these flowers and emblems which have then been printed onto mugs, aprons, cup and saucers, baubles, canvas bags and magnets as well as tea and biscuits to create a truly commemorative collection.
