Interior designer Sophia Fanciulli knows a thing or two about good design. When she bought her 1840s house in Kent, she knew she wanted to blend the old with the new, giving it a modern makeover that was in keeping with the authenticity and character of the property.

Extending the rear of the house by adding two large barns gave Sophia the perfect opportunity to stamp her style on her home. Creating character, layering texture and combining a modern feel with traditional charm is what makes her signature style so appealing and this is shown in abundance in the stunning landscaping outside.

Taking inspiration from Parisian courtyards, Sophia chose Ca' Pietra's Wexford Limestone Cobble in a tumbled finish, falling in love with its cobbled stone look. She also selected it for its non-slip surface, perfect for the family as her children often play outside, as well as its durability and characterful detail.

This fine and hard cobble limestone has plenty to catch the eye with its inky tones and blue-black colouring that looks different depending on where it catches the light at different times of the day.
