Petromax is now bringing the outstanding cooling performance of its proven Cooler Bags to a practical backpack format. The new Cooler Backpacks for big and small adventures are available in two sizes. Ice cubes or commercially available cold packs consistently maintain the interior ice-cold temperature for up to six or eight days, completely without electricity. This means that drinks and food remain chilled even on longer excursions in the great outdoors. In addition to its enormous cooling capacity of 17 or 27 liters, the robust Cooler Backpack, available in the colors sand, olive and grey, boasts practical features and a large storage space.

Room for miracles
The small backpack holds six 1-liter bottles upright, side by side. With a six-pack of beverage cans, there remains enough room for the barbecue food and ice cubes. The XL backpack can hold 13 1-liter bottles lying down. In the large waterproof front and the two side pockets, as well as two mesh pockets, cutlery and other accessories for making fire or fishing hooks are safely stowed.

Cleverly thought out
With a maximum capacity of 8 or 15 kg, carrying comfort is particularly important. The soft back padding ensures a comfortable fit. Two padded shoulder straps and an adjustable chest strap distribute the load evenly over the shoulders. On the large Cooler Backpack, an individually adjustable waist strap provides additional relief. The durable nylon fabric is water repellent and is weather resistant. Waterproof zippers ensure safe transport and prevent rainwater from entering or melt water from escaping. Useful features such as the integrated bottle opener and elastic tension straps for fixing additional equipment make the Cooler Backpack the ideal companion for a picnic outing or fishing trip.

Ice cold test results
In the quality test, a refrigerator temperature of 8 degrees Celsius was still recorded inside the 27-liter Cooler Backpack after eight days. For a long cooling performance, it is recommended to pre-cool the Cooler Backpack and fill it with cold drinks and food. If the Cooler Backpack remains mainly in the shade and is opened as rarely as possible, nothing stands in the way of days of adventures with cool refreshments and provisions.
