Wayfair’s Global Resident Style Advisor, Dee Fontenot, said:

"We are delighted to launch our very first Roomover of the Year Awards for 2023. Our homes have always been important spaces, but more than ever they have become a place for self-expression, creativity and comfort. We're open to every kind of style and space, something that has either been a self-designed reno or small-scale DIY room makeover. Good luck to all the entries, we can't wait to see your unique transformations!"

Stylist and 'Roomover of the Year' judge, Laurie Davidson, said:

“Having designed, styled and commissioned real home makeovers in magazines for years, I think there's nothing better than a good room transformation, which is why I'm so excited to be a part of Wayfair's Roomover of the Year project. This campaign is a great way to show off a room design you're particularly proud of – or a great excuse to get started on one! I'll be looking for something that feels unique and stylish, with good use of colour and pattern, considered planning and attention to detail – all delivered in a creative and original way.”

Wayfair’s 'Roomover of the Year' Awards 2023 will open for entry on Monday 3rd July, for four weeks, closing on Monday 31st July.

To enter, budding interior designers are required to submit a selection of quality before and after photos of the space, along with a brief description about the project and why they feel it is a worthy winner.

Further to the panel of expert judges evaluating each Roomover, the winners will be announced on Wednesday 13th September 2023.

Style Sisters: - "We're super excited to be part of Wayfair's first Roomover of the Year Awards. We love nothing more than transforming cluttered, unorganised rooms into calm, tidy and stylish spaces that are a joy to be in, so can't wait to see the entries - especially the before and afters!

A small space can be the trickiest to make the most of, often becoming a dumping ground for things without a natural home. We're going to be on the lookout for clever storage ideas and innovative styling tricks to maximise smaller areas in the home - from wardrobes to utility rooms, box rooms, hallways and more!"

Aurelien Farjon, Interior stylist: - “I am so looking forward to seeing everyone's transformations, we know how much work goes into it, planning and replanning all those designs, obsessively thinking through all of those little details that in the end make all the difference. I will want to see drastic transformations: from sorry a looking “before" to a jaw-dropping "after”.

Budget-conscious and space-saving is something I often look for in my designs, so I will have my eyes peeled for resourcefulness and ingenuity in our entries.

I will be looking for exciting colour combinations, clever use of patterns and textures, and fun fun fun! I want to see people really going for it with their designs, defying the norms, following their gut-feeling and creating looks that are totally unique to them and representative of them and their family’s personalities.”
