New tile launches set to switch up

style ideas for designer bathrooms

The herringbone pattern is highly popular and if you love the appearance of wood in a bathroom, but you’re keen to source something more durable which looks like the real thing, why not pick our new Burley Minerale Herringbone Click Tiles? Priced at £57.74, they are made from ultra-hardwearing stone polymer composite – and you can even install this waterproof flooring on top of an original floor

Spring has finally sprung and we’re delighted to be launching our new tile collections as the traditional season for the luxury bathroom refresh has now arrived. It’s a high usage space where signs of wear and tear can become really obvious, really quickly. Fortunately, our new designer tiles provide an easy way to give a dated bathroom a completely new lease of life.

Our director Richard Skeoch explains: “Nowadays, a bathroom is far more than just a functional space we wash ourselves in. Whether the space is large or small, it has to cope with regular and frequent usage. So, it’s vital to make this room an enjoyable place to visit. After all, it’s a space we have to use multiple times a day – so we might as well make it as attractive as possible to spend time in! Designer bathroom tiles are a fool-proof way to create a super-stylish sanctuary to relax and unwind in.”

We are renowned for our extensive range of luxury tiles, both interior and exterior. But we are always on the look-out for must-have new additions, in order to keep our product portfolio fresh and exciting. We pride ourselves on keeping abreast of all the latest interiors trends – and on providing plenty of inspiration for our customers’ upscale makeover projects.

Here are Richard’s top three new designer bathroom style trends for spring and summer – and some corresponding new tile picks to bring them to life:

1.     Feature wall bathroom tiles are an ideal way to refresh any room, including a bathroom. It’s a great way to be creative and express your personal style. Modern feature walls don’t have to bold and bright. Create a softer, more subtle design using our new Marbled collection of encaustic tiles, which are handmade using a unique pouring technique that creates a distinctive pattern and texture.

2.     Hooray for herringbone! Classic parquet flooring made from natural solid hardwood always looks fantastic – but isn’t suitable for bathrooms as it’s susceptible to water damage and humidity. Get the look for less (without the worry of warping) with our new Burley Minerale Herringbone Click Tiles. Pair this pale wood-effect floor tile with white or neutral walls – plus a few well-chosen bathroom accessories – to create a soothing, spa-style ambience.

3.     White will always be one of the most popular colour choices for designer bathrooms. It opens up a space, brightening and reflecting light – and also works as a versatile, timeless shade that can be easily updated with different accessories and accent colours. Make white less bland and boring with different shapes, grout colours and textures, such as our new Kinfolk Porcelain White tiles, which incorporate a striking wood-effect finish – and look wonderful paired with a dark vanity, a blue floor, or even a black bath.

We offer a comprehensive collection of more than 15,000 bespoke floor and wall tiles in a variety of patterns, colours, shapes and sizes, luxury vinyl flooring and engineered wood and solid wood flooring. We also stock a dedicated collection of luxury wallcoverings, distinctive bathroom pieces, from mesmerising mirrors to stylish storage, and paint and our highly skilled team is also available to offer expert advice, such as technical know-how and in-depth product knowledge to homeowners, designers, specifiers and architects.

Our new Marbled Livid collection of encaustic tiles is showcased here in Aquamarine in this designer bathroom to create a striking feature wall. These designer bathroom tiles are handmade and via a unique pouring technique, this creates a striking pattern in a mottled, cloud-like texture

If you’re a fan of the current trend for stripes in the bathroom, you can create your own unique pattern with our new Marlborough Porcelain Parquet collection of Forest Green Gloss and Cotton White bathroom tiles (both £43.34 per box). Each tile has been designed to reproduce the charm of real terracotta with a high-gloss, textured finish, whether you use them on walls or floors

If you love the pristine look of white in a bathroom, you can’t go wrong with our new Kinfolk Porcelain White tiles (£108 per box). Showcased here on this feature wall, they offer a contemporary wood-effect style to this contemporary bathroom, and work well with the other porcelain tile choices – such as our Stucco Porcelain Textured Blue (£141.12 per box) and Himalaya Porcelain Matt Crystal floor tiles (£108 per box)
