Bold colours and strong patterns might be the go-to choices when it comes to adding impact to a bathroom, but expert advice from The Baked Tile Company shows neutrals can be just as effective.
Utilising shape and choosing contrasting grout can add detail without overwhelming the space, according to Lesley Taylor, interior designer and founder of The Baked Tile Company.
A recent scheme designed and completed by The Baked Tile Company’s teams pairs a curved matt white tile with an earthy beige grout to bring warmth and style to a family bathroom.
Lesley said: “Bathrooms should be a sanctuary, a haven for relaxing. But homeowners can still push the boundaries of interior styling.
“Those looking for statement walls, without overpowering their bathroom, should consider lozenge-shaped tiles. Their gentle curves will bring a subtle sense of style while adding to the overall relaxing ambience of a bathroom.”
The Baked Tile Company’s Chloe Lozenge is a stunning oval-shaped tile that brings a touch of pattern with its signature curves. They can be used in both a grid formation and offset so that when combined with a contrasting grout form a distinctive pattern.
Lesley added: “Grout is an unsung hero when it comes to bathroom design. So often we stick with white or black but even experimenting with soft shades, such as beige, will transform the look and feel of the room, bringing warmth and interest.”
The Chloe Lozenge collection is available in five finishes: White Matt, Teal Matt, White Gloss, Sand Matt and Blush Matt. The collection is also available in a metro shape, measuring 7.5cm x 30cm, which is available in the same finishes as its lozenge counterpart.
The Chloe Lozenge collection is available now from The Baked Tile Company, priced at £58.50 per m2.
