Stripes are the pattern of the moment, in both interiors and fashion. While stripes are entirely timeless, we have seen steep growth across our striped products in recent months.

Some customers are opting for the nautical theme of the blue and white stripes, while others are enjoying the striking opulence of The Granville Stripe Upholstered Bed in all its monochromatic glory.

Recognising that the popularity of stripes isn’t a fleeting trend, French Bedroom worked alongside a team of incredibly talented artisans in Jaipur, India, to design and manufacture a range of striking hand block printed bedspreads and cushions, ideal for creating a statement.

Alice, part of our Product Team, worked alongside the artisans throughout the process: “Working so closely with Indian artisans has been a wonderful experience. Each bedspread is hand crafted using a time-honoured technique to create a beautiful and unique design. The attention to detail and intricate details makes each product its own piece of art.”

The Anika Stripe & Floral Cotton Bedspread effortlessly blends feminine florals and costal chic with the juxtaposition botanicals and stripes, before being finished with a striped ruffle for an extra touch of femininity. To complement the bedspread, Alice created two cushions: one perfectly mirrors the bedspread, while the other adopts the floral pattern from the bedspread and is finished with a narrow navy blue Oxford piping.

Identifying spaces in our product offering, Alice decided to design a paler, Aztec style ikat bedspread, which would materialise as the Ziana Ikat Bedspread. With turquoise hand block printed ikat as the focal point, this bedspread is finished with a stripe border on the topside and an Aztec ikat border on the reverse. Matching cushions are also available, one striped and the other ikat.

Sitting between Anika and Ziana, the Kamini Kantha Throw combines turquoise and sea blue to create a multidimensional ikat kantha, where both the block printed top and plain reverse are finished with a running kantha stitch from edge to edge.  

Each of these new products are made from 100% cotton, making them super soft and durable.
