The perfect time of year for Tom Raffield to launch two stylish new versions of his best-selling Skipper Lighting Range! These new designs represent a fresh interpretation of the brand's renowned Skipper Pendant, reimagined in achromatic hues to cater to a wide range of interiors.

Tom Raffield, renowned for blending traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design, is excited to announce the launch of two new striking additions to his iconic lighting range: the Solis Skipper Pendant Range and the Noctis Skipper Pendant Range.

SOLIS SKIPPER LIGHTING RANGE - LIMITED EDITION

The Solis Skipper Pendant Range, hand-shaped from beautiful whitened oak, embraces Scandinavian design principles while exuding a bright, airy aesthetic. Its open, sculptural form allows light to radiate in all directions, casting a stunning interplay of light and shadow. Ideal for both contemporary and classic interiors, this timeless piece is perfect for spaces that seek a subtle, yet eye-catching centrepiece. This is an exclusive limited edition run of a unique colourway - once they're gone, they're gone!

NOCTIS SKIPPER COLLECTION

On the other end of the spectrum, the Noctis Skipper Pendant, crafted from ebonised, sustainably sourced poplar, offers a striking contrast with its deep, dark tones. After huge success as a limited edition run earlier this year, the brand are launching the full Skipper Lighting Range in this stylish, dark variation. Like its lighter counterpart, the Noctis Skipper's hand-shaped structure diffuses light both upwards and outwards, creating a captivating visual effect that enhances the atmosphere of any room. The black pendant's elegant yet bold finish makes it a versatile addition to kitchens, bedrooms, or living spaces.

Since discovering the traditional, age-old technique of steam bending wood whilst studying his degree in 3D Sustainability & Design, Tom has been on an incredible self-taught journey of developing and understanding the process to become one of the world leaders in his craft. Tom’s fascination with the ecological technique allows him to create intricate pieces of art that curve and twist, mimicking organic shapes and celebrating the very thing that inspires him - nature.

Tom Raffield is one of a new generation of designers and makers, using his craft in innovative and contemporary ways. Leading the charge in sustainable design, he is driven to forge a path to excellence and cause as little environmental impact as possible along the way.

His passion and skill are now shared with his talented team of craftspeople, together they create objects that symbolise nature, tell a story and will last a lifetime, all whilst protecting the natural world.

“Each piece we create has been on an experimental journey - individual, organic and carefully considered. We source everything from sustainable woodlands, which, coupled with the low energy steam bending process, is a very ecological practice with little wastage,” explains Tom Raffield, founder.
