About
Design = Art for Use. A wonderful way to describe what design should be. This slogan is inspired by a poster from the “New Collection“, the Museum of Modern Art in Munich. The German text translates as "Design is an art that makes itself useful" or reinterpreted "design = art for use" and it has accompanied me since my studies back in the 80\\\'s. It sums up what this website The Design Gift Shop stands for. The choice of gifts at The Design Gift Shop is a result of our search among thousands of items for objects which fit really well this slogan. A selection of well-designed products and useful objects for your own use or as a gift to somebody who should feel your appreciation. Your interest in our web site shows that you too have a soft spot for design and we hope that you will find the right gift for your family, friends, partners, business contacts or - for yourself! We deliver fast and on time, sending a special gift to your loved ones worldwide is only a click away. Our website went live late 2009 equipped with a lot of enthusiasm, an European background, experience in architecture (two decades collaborating on major projects), Graphic Design (15 years of book design) and art (museum and exhibition design). And we have never ceased to be curious about new tendencies in design and are still eager to learn more about it every day.

Design Jesse Leeworthy
Did you know that more than 50 billion single use water bottles were sold worldwide last year. Bottled water is about 1,400 times more expensive than tap water and often less regulated. Each year Australians spend more than $385 million on disposable water, even though we have some of the world's best quality tap water. So reusable bottles like the memobottle can considerably help to reduce waste and save money. Each memobottle™ comes with a black and a white lid, a memo-booklet and recycled cardboard packaging.
